Create concept map in Word [Steps to follow]

Concept maps have become very popular today, so today you will learn how to make a concept map in Word. If we analyze, a highly organized and visually pleasing graphical representation makes it much easier to express knowledge and, sometimes, to acquire new ones. To start building a concept map in Word, open a blank Word document. Select the tab page design to select the orientation in which you want to make the map.

In the same home screen you must select the tab insert and a menu will open where you will have to press the option forms. Now choose the one of your preference among them and begin to develop your concept map.

Once you have selected the one you like the most, you will click on the sheet and it will appear. The menu will then open format on the toolbar, he will help you style your figure. You choose if you want it with or without filling, thickness of the line, color of your preference, among others.

Within the figure you choose you can write the topic and the concepts that you are going to develop. You can do this by clicking inside the figure or by right-clicking on it and selecting the option modify text.

Once you have taken the steps, remember that you have the option format in the toolbar to give the shape, color, size, shadows and outline to the letter.

Now, it only remains to give free rein to your imagination. Add the figures with concepts and arrows necessary to relate them to each other. The arrows are found in the same option forms and they work the same way as any other shape you've added.

In conceptual diagrams, not everything is written within a geometric figure, in the link lines (represented with arrows) that connect the objects on the map, you must write words that identify the relationship between them.

For this you will have to use a text box that you will find in the menu of insert selecting the option text box. There a menu will open where you will have to choose simple text box, you just have to write on it and take it to the place where you want to locate it on the map.

After having assembled your concept map you will be able to select each element that you placed in it, circles, lines and all the inserted shapes by pressing the letter Ctrl and left click; at the top right is the option to GROUP, this allows you to join the objects to consider them as one.
