To start building a concept map in Word, open a blank Word document. Select the tab page design to select the orientation in which you want to make the map.

Within the figure you choose you can write the topic and the concepts that you are going to develop. You can do this by clicking inside the figure or by right-clicking on it and selecting the option modify text.

Once you have taken the steps, remember that you have the option format in the toolbar to give the shape, color, size, shadows and outline to the letter.
